Future Focused and Ready for Growth: Edison Announces New Leadership Team

We are excited to unveil our new leadership team structure as part of our comprehensive plan to meet the increasing demand across all our services. Guided by our strategic plan for 2030, Edison aims to foster sustainable growth while maintaining high-quality service across all business areas.

Recognizing the evolving nature of the electricity industry, and the need to deliver more work within shorter timeframes, we are anticipating future client needs. The new structure readies our team for growth, and enhances our efficiency, effectiveness, flexibility, and responsiveness.

Two new General Manager roles have been created for Project Delivery, joining the Edison Leadership team reporting to Chief Executive Wendy Edwards. Michael Prance and David Webb have been appointed General Managers for Project Delivery, bringing extensive experience and expertise in the electricity sector.

In addition to the new General Manager roles, Edison has appointed Grant Lovie to the distinguished role of Project Director. This recognizes his exceptional contributions to the company and the wider electricity industry. Working independently, Grant will focus on complex projects, key account management, mentoring, coaching, and providing specialist delivery advice to the Senior Leadership Team.

We are committed to nurturing our internal talent by recruiting internally for three Regional Manager positions:

  • Auckland/Northland
  • Bay of Plenty/Tairāwhiti
  • South Island

Mark Lewis has been doing an excellent job as Acting Area Manager for the Tauranga office and will continue as Acting Regional Manager in Bay of Plenty/Tairāwhiti in the interim, alongside Jonathan Buell, who has been promoted to Acting Regional Manager in Auckland/Northland. David Webb will continue to act in a Regional Manager capacity for the South Island until an appointment is made.
