The Edison team weekend returned in 2022 with a little magic and a lot of fun.
Our people and their partners gathered at the Park Hyatt in Auckland from 10-11 September as a thank you for their contribution to Edison’s success. With 98 attendees, the event was a great way for the whole team and partners to connect and get to know each other since our team has grown significantly in the past year.
The event started with the ultimate ice-breaker – The Amazing Race adapted for the Auckland waterfront thanks to the team at Let Me Out Ltd. Fifty attendees who were up for the challenge split into teams. Taking part in tasks that saw them spread out across Wynyard Quarter. They sort-of-juggled gingernut biscuits, showed their artistic flair by drawing the iconic buzzy bee, completed a flag semaphore challenge and donated food the Auckland City Mission.
Magic and laughter were on the menu at the evening reception thanks to magician Mick Peck. We also took the opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Garry Wright who has reached 20 years of service with us, and Gerald Dignan and Wayne Radonich for their 10 years. Combined, they represent 40 years of knowledge and experience we are fortunate to have on our team.
