Great Result

Located on a busy Auckland CBD site with limited access,  the Hobson Street Grid Exit Point Development Project needed a dedicated Client Site Representative to coordinate numerous contactors and subcontractors on behalf of Transpower and Vector. Part of the North Auckland and Northland (NAaN) project, the Hobson Street GXP construction site was in a live substation presenting specific challenges in coordinating the installation of new switchgear and transformers.

Samantha Thompson

A former Aucklander who is now loving life in the sunny Bay of Plenty, Samantha has spent the last several years working in marketing, branding and communications. "I love the fast paced world of comms, content marketing and social media. Everything is constantly evolving and it's a challenge to stay abreast of the latest trends and technology."

When not wearing a hard hat at Edison, Samantha enjoys keeping fit and active and is currently training for the Bush to Beach 1/2 marathon on the Coromandel this Easter. A keen traveller, she is also saving for another trip - this time to visit family and friends in Japan.

David Han Liu

Han Liu joined the Edison Team in August last year. A University of Auckland graduate with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree, Han previously worked for Contact Energy at the Clyde and Otahuhu power stations. Key areas of technical expertise include transformer commissioning and testing, arc flash protection, LVAC and DC systems. Han always takes the initiative to expand his knowledge and is working towards becoming a chartered engineer.

Last month Han’s wife Rachel gave birth to a baby girl and after work he finds himself busy changing nappies and feeding the baby. His power lifting career is
currently on hold.

Your proven experience in project management and establishing collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues is the key to success in this role.
