Welcome Peter, Gerald, Luke and Richard                        

In response to growing demand for practical design and expert project management Edison has been busy recruiting and has employed Peter Donnelly in Hamilton, Gerald Dignan in Wellington, Luke Mainwaring and Richard Pearce in Auckland.

Peter Donnelly

Since completing his BSc (Electrical/Electronic Engineering) in Scotland Peter has held a range of electrical engineering and project managament roles in Scotland, South Africa and New Zealand.

Peter's passion for project management has seen him complete his PMI exams and gain his PMP in 2006.

Throughout his career Peter has successfully delivered large complex and high profile projects within the power industry.

Gerald Dignan

Gerald began his career as an electrician at Waitaki Power Station and has been involved in electricity generation, transmission and distribution ever since .

For over 20 years Gerald has been delivering maintenance and project works, honing his craft and enjoying the challenges the industry has to offer.

Most recently Gerald held responsibility for project managing elements of some of New Zeakands key transmission infracstructure.


Luke Mainwaring

Luke started as an electrical apprentice at a steel works in Wales and has developed through the electrical industry to reach Chartered Engineering status in 2009.

Since arriving in New Zealand Luke has gained significant and relevant experience in the areas of substation design and project engineering.

Luke's skills and experience help to reinforce Edison's proven design capabiliy at a time where demand for high quality work  and on-time delivery are essential elements of successful project delivery.



Richard Pearce

After commencing his career as an industrial electrician Richard  went on to complete his BE (Hons) in 1998 and an Executive MBA in 2005.

Richard has held a range of senior leadership and technical roles within the New Zealand electricity industry and has core capabilities in the development and delivery of large infrastructure projects, engineering, operations and asset management.
