After providing technical suppport to Mighty River Power on both the Kawerau and Nga Awa Purua geothermal power station grid connection projects Edison was elated to be asked to provide a similar role for Mighty River Power on their latest geothermal project Ngatamariki.

Around the same time Edison was pleased to be selected by Transpower to provide a project technical supporting role on the Te Mihi grid connection.

And more recently Edison was selected by Norske Skog Tasman to assist in the design of the connection of their proposed new geothermal station TOPP1 in Kawerau.

Edison Makes Transpower Consultants Panel

Edison is excited at the prospect of working even closer with Transpower having recently been selected to join their Engineering Design Consultants Panel.

Amongst the many real benefits for both Transpower and Edison is the streamlining of the ways the companies engage on a project by project basis.

For Edison, the selection to the panel is recognition for the excellent work and experience our team has in the transmission sector. It also refelcts the enduring relationship we have enjoyed with Transpower for over fifteen years.

Fire Brings Hamilton Move Forward

The Hamilton team are on the move! Just not to where they planned as a fire damaged the office building.

The team in Hamilton decided they liked the central location of our office so when the opportunity came up they decided to move into the larger and more recently refurbished offices next door. Unfortunately the move planned for the 2nd of April was postponed when a fire broke out in the switchboard between the offices three weeks ago.

As a result the team have now moved in to temporary offices at; Level 3, Vero House, 127 Alexandra Street, Hamilton, a week earlier than planned and all with very little disruption to services. A big thank you goes out to our landlord, the guys in Hamilton and all those involved with the clean up and move.

Richard Morely Joins the Hamilton Team

Richard is joining Edison with over 20 years of energy sector experience gained in both Europe and New Zealand.

Richards most recent achievements include the delivery of 25km of new and upgraded 33kV lines connecting Te Uku windfarm to WEL's network.

Richard, his wife and two children live in Cambridge and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including skiing and cycling.
